<br />III. Sub-Committee Reports <br />1. Mission Statement - Commissioners Johnson & Eberley <br />summarized work to date and presented two drafts for <br />members to consider. Comments &input should be provided <br />to Johnson & Eberley at regular meeting of 9-26-89. A <br />single draft will be presented at Joint Meeting. <br />Sign Ordinance - Commissioner Fuchs reported Asst. <br />B & Z official, Steve Bjork, has done some preliminary <br />draft.ing o.f language. MI'?mber-'s ideas and areas of <br />concern should be provided to Commissioner Fuchs at <br />regular meeting of 9-26-89. These will be incorporated <br />int.o work already done. <br />Landscape-Int.ermodal Building Exterior - <br />Commissioners Kimball & Schroeder presented model <br />ordinance examples. Members are to study and provide <br />additional input to Kimball & Schroeder at regular <br />meeting of 9-26-89. Staff will prepare draft for members <br />to ccmsi der. <br />By-Laws/Procedures & Guidelines - Commissioner Fuchs <br />has completed preliminary work. New mat.erials and <br />samples have recently become available and we will <br />cont.inue t.o study and develop Elk River model. <br />Orient.ation Manual - Commissioner Johnson presented <br />draft. of content and discussed planst.o add to it. <br />Complete draft will be presented at. next Workshop. <br />There being no further business, Commissioners Schroeder & Nadeau <br />moved and seconded to adjourn. When Park & Recreation agenda <br />items appear to impact Planning Commission decisions, a <br />representative will attend meetings and report results to <br />Planning Commission. <br />4. Commissioners agreed Park & Recreation Citizen Survey <br />participation would be very valuable to Commission Ideas <br />and requests for areas to be included in the survey will <br />be submitted to Commissioner Fuchs by 10-5-89. He will <br />attend Park& Recreation meeting <br />of 10-10-89, as Commission representative. <br />5. Possible value of meeting with neighboring <br />commissions to network and learn was discussed. <br />Commissioner Eberley report.ed on Sherburne Co. Economic <br />Development. Workshop scheduled for 10-19-89 as example <br />and possible opportunity t.o meet with neighboring <br />officials.
