Staff ad'Tertised tIlls position in the Star Ne\vs, on the city's \vebsite, on <br />ERt\! 12, and the ",\Tacancy \1laS posted at both City Hall and dle Library. Staff had one <br />application on file from Ivls. Christine HanTey but sIle Ilas indicated that she is unable to <br />fulfill dle Library Board time commitment at this time due to family obligations. Staff <br />recei\led one additional application from IvIs. Donna IvIartin of Zimmerman. lVls. IvIartin's <br />application is attached for Council revie\v. <br /> <br />Per the Board and Commission Policy, 'The CotlJuil }vill revie}}l all applications. Applicants Ivi!! be <br />interviewed 0' the CiD' Council to JJlake board and COJJ1111ission appoint/llents and reappoint/lients. This <br />process lv/il be conducted through secret ballot. "I:vls. IVlartin has been contacted and is expected to be <br />present at the September 19, 2005 City Council meeting to be intervie\ved by the Council. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />The Council is requested to intervle\v Donna 1\fartin for tlle Library Board \lacancy. TIle <br />Council may wish to appoint IvIs. I:vIartin to fill Leslie Anderson's unexpired term until <br />December 31, 2007 or Council may \vish to continue ad'Tertising for the position. <br />
