Multipurpose Faciliry Advisory Commission Minutes <br />January 10, 2022 <br />Page 2 <br />Betsy Gulden introduced herself to the Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission. <br />Gulden gave reasons why she made the decision to join the commission. Gulden <br />spoke on how she is connected to Elk River and what her past has been with sports. <br />Chair Williams administered the Oath of Office for Gulden. <br />6.1 Advisory Commission Ordinance <br />Chair Williams discussed some future housekeeping duties that the commission will <br />need to complete to fulfill the duties of the commission outlined in the Multipurpose <br />Facility Advisory Commission Ordinance. <br />■ Present Annual Report to the City Council. Schedule for April or May after <br />the busy ice season is complete. <br />• Plan and execute public outreach to major Multipurpose Facility (MPF) <br />users, Elk River Youth Hockey, Elk River High School Booster Clubs, Elk <br />River Figure Skating Club, and other future groups, i.e. Spectrum Hockey <br />Boosters, etc. <br />■ Bylaws for the MPF Advisory Commission must be drafter and approved. <br />6.2 Branding Task Force Update <br />Matt Westgaard spoke with the Advisory Commission that the Branding Task Force <br />group has not yet met. The task force is getting a meeting set to configure where <br />their priorities are. The task force is hopeful to have information brought to the <br />next Multipurpose Facility Commission meeting. <br />Mike Cunningham spoke about having signage for the Cornerstone Automotive <br />Arena for the high school hockey games. Cunningham suggested a student section <br />sign, home section sign, and away section sign. <br />Kara Walker joined the meeting at 6:49 p.m. <br />7.1 Annual Election of Officers <br />Item 7.1 Annual Elections of Officers was removed from the agenda at the <br />beginning of the meeting. <br />7.2 Member Request: Require facemasks to attend the Senior Activity <br />Center and its programs <br />Mr. Dalton shared that a Senior Activity Center member came to the front desk and <br />III II II 11 <br />NATURE <br />
