<br /> <br />*Item 3.1 * <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Stephen Rohlf, Building and Environmental <br />Administrator <br /> <br />DATE: September 12, 2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: -Ordinance Amendment <br />-Appointments to Energy City Commission <br />-Resolution for Summary Publication of the Ordinance <br /> <br />Staff is recommending a minor amendment to Chapter 2, Article 5, Division 8, of the City of Elk <br />River Code of Ordinances, "The Energy City Commission". Staff recommends the section on <br />membership be amended so the Commission may have up to fifteen members. The words "up to" <br />have been added to this section in the attached ordinance. This ordinance amendment does not <br />require a public hearing. Also attached is a summary resolution for publication purposes. <br /> <br />The city has received applications for the newly created Energy City Commission, which are <br />attached to this memo. Staff recommends the following appointments: <br /> <br />1) One representative from the City Council <br />Stephanie Klinzing (Chair) <br />Mayor, City of Elk River <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br /> <br />2) One representatives from the Elk River Municipal Utilities <br />Bryan Adams <br />Elk River Municipal Utilities <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br /> <br />3) Up to six representatives from energy related businesses as determined by the City <br />Council (this can include consultants, manufacturers, technology, environmental, <br />energy producers and/or energy providers) <br />Gary Connett <br />Great River Energy <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br /> <br />CenterPoint Energy <br />Arnold Hendrickson <br />Mpls., MN 55402 <br /> <br />Susie Overholser <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br />
