<br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />May 24, 1994 <br /> <br /> <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Pastor Matthews stated that Solid Rock Church would like to be a good neighbor <br />and they are willing to supply the Planning Commission and City Council with the <br />information requested. <br /> <br />There being no further comments, Chairman Tveite closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Minton noted the change of attitude displayed since Pastor <br />Matthews has been involved with the city and thanked him for his willingness to <br />help bring Solid Rock Church into compliance with current city code. <br />Commissioner Minton asked staff to respond to the issue of landscaping along <br />195th. Mr. Schmitz responded. Chairman Tveite asked Pastor Matthews if it would <br />be acceptable to Solid Rock Church to landscape the southerly border of their <br />property (located south of 195th). Staff stated that due to a large portion of the <br />site already being heavily wooded, additional trees should not be required. <br />Pastor Matthews replied that would be acceptable. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER EBERLEY MOVED TO CONTINUE THE PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING <br />THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT BY SOLID ROCK CHURCH TO THE JUNE 28, 1994, <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING. THE PLANNING COMMISSION REQUESTED THE <br />APPLICANT COMPLETE A TRAFFIC STUDY ADDRESSING THE IMPACTS OF THE <br />PROPOSED SCHOOL ON THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD. THE ISSUE OF THE <br />REMAINING CONDITIONS FROM THE ORIGINAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT BE <br />RESOLVED. COMMISSIONER KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />Steve Ach stated that the applicant is not present however, Mr. Lundberg <br />(Agenda Item 5.9) is present and requested the Planning Commission hear item <br />5.9 at this time. Richard Lundberg's request is in two <br />parts: a variance to exceed the maximum size of an accessory structure and a <br />conditional use permit request to encroach on the 300 foot setback for an <br />accessory structure containing livestock. <br /> <br />Chairman Tveite opened the public hearing. There being no comments from the <br />public, Chairman Tveite closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Minton asked staff to clarify where the existing drive is now and <br />where the existing home is located on the property. Mr. Schmitz responded. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission discussed the size of the proposed structure, the <br />location of the structure, and the requirements of a variance request. <br />
