<br />. <br /> <br />1996 GOALS <br /> <br />1. Complete the final portion of the Comprehensive Plan and <br />begin implementation as a whole, including rezoning and <br />ordinance amendment changes. <br /> <br />2. Continue to pursue public relation activities by making <br />available at public meetings, a set of the protocol and <br />procedures for public meetings from the Elk River Planning <br />Commission Rules & Procedures. <br /> <br />3. Meet with both the City Council and the Park and Recreation <br />Commission in a workshop format, for the purpose of reviewing <br />joint goals and objectives. <br /> <br />4. Obtain a prioritized list from our joint meeting with the <br />City Council, of items they wish us to review. The list <br />should include the retail sale of firearms and C-3 zoning <br />issues previously set as a 1995 goal. <br /> <br />5. Participate in the planning and execution of the 1996 <br />Regional Planning Conference. <br /> <br />6. Continue to promote Commissioner training. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1996 WORKSHOP TOPICS <br /> <br />1. Develop meeting questions for the Mayor and City Council <br />members to be addressed in our annual joint meeting with them. <br />Topics to include the taping quality of cable broadcasts of <br />public meetings. <br /> <br />2. Review the issue of wetlands and the current legal policy <br />for same. <br /> <br />3. Develop topics to be addressed at our joint meeting with <br />the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />4. Plan a mobile workshop. <br /> <br />5. Address the topic of Downtown. <br /> <br />6. Address the topic of zoning along east Highway 10. <br /> <br />. <br />
