<br /> <br /> <br />City of Elk River <br /> <br />City Council <br /> <br />Resolution 22-____ <br /> <br />A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Establishing <br />Precincts and Polling Places <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2020 Census has been completed and the Minnesota State Legislature has <br />been redistricted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute §204B.14, subd. 3 (d) requires that precinct boundaries <br />must be reestablished within 60 days of when the legislature has been redistricted or at least <br />19 weeks before the state primary election, whichever comes first; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Elk River, <br />Minnesota, hereby establishes the boundaries of the voting precincts and polling places as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Precinct 1A: City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway <br />That part of Ward 1 lying generally south of the following described line: <br />Beginning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10 and Zebulon Street (westerly corporate <br />boundary) thence east along the centerline of U.S. Highway 10 to the east shore of Lake <br />Orono, thence south and east along the easterly shore of Lake Orono and the Elk River, <br />following the east shore until it terminates at the Mississippi River. <br />Precinct 1B: United Methodist Church, 1304 Main Street <br />The part of Ward 1 lying generally north of the following described line: <br />Beginning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10 and Zebulon Street (westerly corporate <br />boundary) thence east along the centerline of U.S. Highway 10 to the east shore of Lake <br />Orono, thence south and east along the easterly shore of Lake Orono and the Elk River, <br />following the east shore until it terminates at the Mississippi River. <br />Precinct 2A: Elk River Public Works, 19000 Proctor Road <br />The part of Ward 2 lying generally west of the following described line: <br />Beginning at the intersection of Trunk Highway 169 and County Road 33 thence north <br />along the centerline of Trunk Highway 169 to the northern corporate boundary of the City <br />of Elk River. <br /> <br /> <br />
