UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Chris Sumstad– Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />January 11, 2022 6.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Installed 21 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br /> All underground line that has been installed this past year for the Highway 169 Redefine <br />project is terminated and energized. Crews will concentrate on tearing down old <br />overhead wire along the east and west sides of Highway169 this winter. Underground <br />installation work will begin again at a few locations in the spring of 2022. <br /> Crews energized the new field service building transformer and finished the new <br />underground primary loop around the houses near the plant. Crews will be tearing <br />down the overhead wire across from the plant that runs along Main Street and goes up <br />to Highway 10. <br /> Staff is working on finishing the installation of new infrastructure in the Miske Meadows <br />thth <br /> and 8developments <br />and Parrish Meadows housing developments. These will be the 7 <br />installed during the past year. <br /> Crews are performing annual maintenance on equipment as time allows. <br /> Crews worked with the meter shop to de-energize Station 14 Bank 4 and replace the <br />substation metering equipment. Crews also noticed that the jumpers off of the <br />substation transformerneeded to be replaced. <br /> There were relatively few outages in the month of December. Some streetlights were <br />struck by vehicles during snow events, but nothing more serious. <br />I am working on putting together the crew schedule to attend the upcoming Minnesota <br />Municipal Utilities Association trainings for 2022.
