UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Michelle Canterbury– Executive Administrative Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />January 11, 2022 6.1f <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> As part of our on-going marketing efforts to promote renewable energy and increase <br />participation in the Residential Clean Energy Choice Program, a promotional flyer will be <br />going out withtheJanuary billings, along with information on AutomaticBill Payment. <br /> December and January social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: the <br />th <br />promotionofEnergy City’s 25 Anniversary and their surveys designed to help shape <br />future initiatives, being prepared for a winter storm, ERMU’s annual scholarship <br />program, and a DIY video on preventing frozen pipes. Staff will also be posting several <br />public service announcements such as dates of upcoming commission meetings and <br />holiday businessclosures. <br /> <br /> This month’s featured social media post – SCAM ALERT! With utility scam calls on the <br />rise,ERMU is helping to educate customers on how to spot and avoid utility billing <br />scams. A short video, along with tips on how customers can protect themselves from <br />being scammed, are just a few of theways we are workingto get the word out. In <br />addition, we have the option to activate the alert bar on our website when we learn <br />members in our community are being targeted. <br /> <br /> The Communications Coordinator, Billing Specialist, and Conservation & Key Accounts <br />Manager met on December 29 to discuss the 2022 marketing plan for bill inserts. Based <br />on the conversation a tentative schedule has been established. <br /> <br /> The Administration and Communications department has been busy making annual <br />updates to the ERMU website.
