Hulot. <br />Thatik, you for the opportunity to provide comments concerning the establishment of tax increment <br />financing (TIF) district #28, <br />Sherburne Comity adopted air economic development strategic plan in 20M That plan identifies the <br />I <br />couritv*s intent to support the economic development efforts of our cities and other partners that help <br />enhance the quality of life for all residents, create and sustain living wage jobs, expand the county's <br />property tax base. and allow the county to be a partner with other public agencies and private sector <br />stakeholders. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 479,175. subdivision 2. and consistent with the county's econolilic <br />development strategic plan, Sherburne County submits the following continents: <br />I. The County Board supports the city's, effort to encourage and facilitate the development of <br />the 44-unit multi -family housing project. The development, \vllen complete, is prqjected to <br />add more than S6,200.000 in taxable value. Sherburne County supports housing strategies <br />that provide life cycle housing opportunities available to liouseliolds of all incomes, As with <br />all projects. we encourage local cities to continue, to work mith County staff in the planning <br />stages of any potential development to explore the best project financing options. <br />The TIF district proposal has been revieNved by our County Attorney staff and the proposed <br />project is consistent with the County's stated ol:1jective in tile TIF Review Policy, <br />3. The TIF district proposal has been revieNved by our Taxation Division staff and there were no <br />administrative issues identified. <br />
