Consensus was to update the
purpose statement and fee structure to promote accountability and a strategy for efficient scheduling. A deposit
of $500 was also discussed to ensure accountability. As mentioned on agenda item 7.1, staff and Dave Williams
met with the new Youth Lacrosse Board on November 29, and they felt the new fee structure was fair and
accountable.

As mentioned in our meetings with the youth athletic associations, past summer-fall season we experienced
thousands of dollars in damages to fields, facilities, and lost scoreboard controllers ($400 each). Also, almost
daily during 2021 parks maintenance prepared fields for games and then organizations did not use them.

Financial Impact
Potential fee increases and deposit fees could increase revenues and protect city assets.

Attachments
Recommended Field Use Fees and Purpose Statement
