• Crews continue to terminate wire in some of the new housing developments that have
been constructed this past year. Most of these should be finished by the end of the year
and ready for new homes.
• Crews finished collecting oil samples from all the dead front switchgears located on the
system. We currently have over 70.
• Crews worked with the meter shop to de-energize the Station 14 Bank 3 transformer,
then added oil to the load tap changer control and changed the high side lightning
arresters.
• Installed wire and a transformer for a three phase service to a new business building in
Otsego south of Coborn's.
• Crews finished the work related to the County Road 13 reconstruction project. The road
is scheduled to open mid-December.
• Installed the wire and transformer pad for three phase service at the field services
building.
• Installed another run of primary line down Lander Street. This area is scheduled to
receive new primary line throughout in 2022.
• A crew installed wreaths/banners for the holiday season on the light poles in downtown
Elk River.
• Staff is working on finalizing tree trimming objectives for the 2022 season.
• Working on the final plan for the next phase of the overhead rebuild along County Road
35 that will begin in January 2022.
• Collaborating with staff on getting material secured for 2022 construction season.
151
