<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Councill\1inutes <br />August 1, 2005 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />6.8. <br /> <br />Library Board Update <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz provided an update of the Library Board meeting held July 26, 2005. <br />Councilmember Dietz stated that the Library Board will be comparing costs of remodeling <br />the existing library or building a new library near Lake Orono across from City Hall. <br />Councilmember Dietz indicated that a survey asking citizens what they want in their library <br />is completed and will be available at the library and in the next issue of the Recreation <br />Guide. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing commended the Library Board for looking to the future and exploring all <br />possibilities for the new library. <br /> <br />6.9. Discuss Council Worksession Agendas <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers reviewed the tentative Council Worksession agendas for <br />August and September. The Council made no changes to the agendas. <br /> <br />7. Other Business <br /> <br />There was no other business. <br /> <br />8. Staff Updates <br /> <br />There were no staff updates. <br /> <br />8.1. <br /> <br />August 9 Chamber Meeting on Transportation with Congressman Kennedy <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers indicated that the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce will <br />be holding a membership meeting on transportation with Congressman Kennedy on <br />Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Black Woods Banquet Center. Mr. Klaers stated that if <br />Councilmembers plan on attending they should let staff know so the Chamber can be <br />notified. <br /> <br />9.
