Public Sewer or Public Sewage System - A sewer or sewage system in which <br />all owners of abutting properties have equal rights, and which is controlled <br />by a public authority. <br /> <br />gg. Ri~ht-of-Way - The land covered by a public road or other land dedicated <br />for public use or restricted for certain private use such as utilities. <br /> <br />hh. Sewage - Any water-carried domestic wastes, exclusive of footing and <br />roof drainage, from any industrial, agricultural or commercial establishment, <br />or any dwelling or other structure. Domestic waste includes, but is not <br />limited to, liquid waste produced by bathing, laundry, culinary operations, <br />and liquid wastes from toilets and floor drains. Domestic waste specifically <br />excludes animal waste and commercial process wastes. <br /> <br />ii. Sketch Plan - An informal layout of the proposed subdivision including <br />preliminary topographic data, location of existing structures, requested zoning <br />changes, relationship to existing community facilities and relationship to <br />existing surrounding land use. This plan is not necessarily drawn to scale <br />and exact accuracy is not a requirement. <br /> <br />jj. Standard Subdivision - A subdivision involving the creation of five or <br />more parcels, tracts, or lots. <br /> <br />kk. <br /> <br />Streets and Alleys - <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />i. Street - A public right-of-way for vehicular traffic, whether <br />designated as a street, highway, thoroughfare, arterial, parkway, <br />collector, throughway road, avenue, boulevard, lane, place or however <br />otherwise designated. <br /> <br />~~. Collector Street - A street which carries traffic from minor streets <br />to arterials. <br /> <br />~~~. Cul-de-sac - A minor street with only one outlet and having an <br />appropriate turn-around for the safe and convenient reversal of traffic <br />movement. <br /> <br />iv. Marginal Access Street - A minor street which is parallel and <br />adjacent to an arterial street and which provides access to abutting <br />properties and protection from through traffic. <br /> <br />v. Minor Street - A street of limited continuity which is used primarily <br />for access to abutting properties. <br /> <br />vi. Alley - A public right-of-way which is used primarily for secondary <br />vehicular service access to the back or the side of properties abutting <br />on a street. <br /> <br />vii. Private Street - A street serving as vehicular access to two (2) <br />or more parcels of land which is not dedicated to the public but is owned <br />by one or more private parties. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />viii. Arterial Street - A street or highway with access restrictions <br />designed to carry large volumes of traffic between various sectors of <br /> <br />4. <br />
