Permitted Obstructions in Re uired Yards - The following shall not be <br />cons1dere to be obstructions when located in required front, rear, and side <br />yards specified: <br /> <br />i. In Front Yards - One-story bay window~ projecting three (3) feet <br />or less into the yard; and overhangs, eaves and gut tera projecting two <br />anri one-half (2-1/2) feet or less into the: requi red yard setback. <br /> <br />A landing place or uncovered porch may extend into the required <br />front yard to a distance not exceeding six (6) feet, if the landing <br />place or porch has its floor no higher than the entrance floor of <br />the building. <br /> <br />The reqll1red front yard of a corner lot shall not contain any wall, <br />fence, or other structure, tree, shrub, or other growth which' may <br />cause danger to traffic on a street or public road by obscuring <br />the view. <br /> <br />On double frontage lots, the required front yard shall be provided <br />on both streets. <br /> <br />Air conditioning units, excluding window units, shall not be located <br />l n rl..'q ui red ya rds. <br /> <br />ii. In Side Yards - Overhangs, eaves and gutters may project into any <br />required yard and setback a distance of one (l) foot. <br /> <br />111. In Rear Yards - Enclosed, attached or detached off-street parking <br />spaces; open off-street parkinp, s~~ces; accessory structures, toolrooms, <br />and slmilrxr buildings or. structures for domestic storage; balconies; <br />breezeways and open porches; onc slo ry bay windows projecting two and <br />one-half (2-1/2) feet or. less into the yard. <br /> <br />In determining the depth of the rear yard for any building where the <br />rear yard opens into an alley, one-half 0/2) the width of the alley, <br />but not exceeding tell (0) feet, may be c0nsldered as a portion of the <br />rear ya rd. <br /> <br />7. Vi sion Clearance. <br /> <br />a. ~ces. Walls in Front Yard - In any resld~ntial zone on any corner lot, <br />no fence or accessory structure or planting sh<111 ri.se over two and one-half <br />(2-1/2) feet In height above the level of the publlc sidewalk within twenty <br />(20) feet of any corne'r, so as to interfere with traffic visibility across <br />the corner. No fence or wall or shrub planting of more than two and one-half <br />(2-1/2) feet in height above the level of the public sidewalk shall be erected <br />on aqy interior lot within ten (lO)feet of the front property line where <br />it will interfere with traffic visibility frol:l a driveway. <br /> <br />b. ~ces In Side and Front Yards - No fence tn a front yard or along a side <br />line of a lot in a residcntial zone, other than a retaining wall, shall be <br />higher than six (6) feet in height unless the ?djoining lot is not In. a <br />residential zone. <br /> <br />21. <br />
