<br /> <br /> <br />City of Elk River <br /> <br />City Council <br /> <br />Resolution 21-____ <br /> <br />A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Designating Polling <br />Places for 2022 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.16 requires cities to designate polling places <br />for the upcoming year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city has the ability to change a polling place mid-year for an emergency or <br />if a polling place becomes unable for use; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk <br />River, Minnesota, as follows: the polling places listed on Exhibit A are designated as polling <br />places for elections conducted in the city in 2021. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the city clerk is hereby authorized to designate a <br />replacement meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Election Law for any polling place <br />designated in this resolution that becomes unavailable for use by the city; <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the city clerk is hereby authorized to designate an <br />emergency replacement polling place meeting the requirements of Minnesota State Election <br />Law for polling places designated in this resolution when necessary to ensure a safe and <br />secure location for voting. <br /> <br />st <br />Passed and adopted this 1 day of November 2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> John J.
