Parks, Open Space & Natural Resources <br />Vision Statement <br />Elk River will be a destination for outdoor recreation, offering a wide selection of trails for mountain biking, <br />hiking, hunting, fishing, and more. The city will also continue to host recreation events at the Furniture and Things <br />Community Event Center, YAC, and ERX that bolster the local economy. The city will expand recreational access to <br />the Mississippi River, Elk River, and Lake Orono, adding parkland to create a cohesive riverfront trail and boardwalk <br />that follows the rivers flow.
