In those three <br />MISSION decades, the Community Fund has worked to use the games <br />of baseball and softball to improve lives and strengthen <br />communities, and ensure that every kid has access to the <br />resources they need to play the game that we love. <br />The work of the Twins Community Fund is made possible by the generous support of the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, our <br />cornerstone partners Target, U.S. Bank, Treasure Island Resort & Casino, Delta Air Lines, Twins players and especially Twins fans. <br />The Twins Community Fund is working to help kids and organizations return safely to the ballfieid in 2021. <br />YOUTH BASEBALL Cr SOFTBALL PROGRAMS <br />• Twins Youth Clinics provide free youth baseball and softball <br />instruction in communities across the region. <br />Coaching Clinics promote the importance of coaching youth <br />and improve coaching skills. <br />May Ball! Minnesota is a collaboration of youth baseball and <br />softball organizers working together to promote and improve <br />baseball and softball (playballmn.org). <br />Twins Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) organizes <br />summer youth baseball and softball programs in the cities of <br />Minneapolis and St. Paul (twincitiesrbi.com). <br />GRANT PROGRAMS <br />• Fields for Kids Grants renovate or construct youth baseball <br />and softball fields. <br />• Jr. Twins Equipment Grants provide equipment donations to <br />youth baseball and softball organizations and educational <br />resources they need to train coaches, run their leagues and <br />get more kids in the game. <br />•. Youth Coaching Grants provide dollars to youth <br />organizations to hire high school- or college -age coaches or <br />administrators. <br />• Hennepin County Youth Baseball/Softball Grants provide <br />support to youth baseball and softball capital projects <br />located in Hennepin County. <br />• Southwest Florida Community Grants provide grants to <br />nonprofit organizations in Southwest Florida. <br />RECOGNITION PROGRAMS <br />• Carl R. Pohlad Award recognizes the outstanding community <br />involvement and on -field performance of a current Twins <br />player each season. <br />• Kirby Puckett Award recognizes a Twins alumnus (player or <br />coach) who best exemplifies Kirby's legacy of community <br />service and involvement. <br />• Play Ball! Minnesota Terry Ryan Award recognizes a <br />member of the Minnesota baseball and/or softball <br />community that is a leader in supporting the game of youth <br />baseball and/or softball by contributing to the advocacy and <br />promotion of the game and its participants. <br />• Play Ball!
