UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Thomas Geiser – Operations Director <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />October 12th, 2021 6.1g <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Staff continues to meet with T2 Utility Engineers, WSB Engineering, and MnDOT for the <br />upcoming Highway 169 Redefine project. Permits have been approved and we are in full <br />constructionmodeon the electric side of things. We are working with Great River <br />Energy (GRE), as they have 9 poles along the highway that need tobemoved or <br />replaced, and we have three phase overhead lines attached to those poles. All <br />thrd <br />and 193 Avenues. Crews will <br />underground lines are installed and energized at 197 <br />tear down overhead lines as needed this fall. We are alsocurrently working at the <br />School and Main Street intersections. <br /> <br />The refuse-derived fuel processing plant came online on September 20. The switchover <br />went well between all parties. <br /> <br /> Staff is working on our portion of the 2022 Capital Budget. We have ordered the 2022 <br />Ford F550, which will replace dump truck #7, per the consensus of the commission at <br />the Septembermeeting. Ordering at this time shouldensure delivery in 2022. <br /> <br /> Staff has been attending meetings with the County on the planning of County Road 33 <br />and County Road 44 projects. <br /> <br /> As construction has moved forward, staff is discovering some adjustments that need to <br />be made for the County Road 13 rebuild. <br /> <br /> Crews have begun reinstalling the Highway 10 lights they took down for the rebuild of <br />the highway. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />92 <br />
