<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 87-26 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />SECTION 604.08(3) <br />TO INCREASE THE CITY LANDFILL FEE <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordai~ as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Code of Ordinances for the City of Elk <br />River, Section 604.08(3) is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />3. In addition to the application fee and <br />annual license fees required by Sections 1 <br />and 2 above, any operator of a facility for <br />the disposal of mixed municipal solid waste <br />located within the City of Elk River shall <br />pay a fee of $.25 per cubic yard of waste <br />or its equivalent disposed of at the <br />facility. The revenue from this fee shall <br />be credited to the City's general fund and <br />used only for purposes of landfill <br />abatement or for purposes of mitigating and <br />compensating the local risks, costs and <br />other adverse effects of such facilities. <br />Solid waste facility operators shall pay <br />this fee on a monthly basis. <br /> <br />Section 2.
