<br />ORDINANCE 87-20 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1985 MINNESOTA STATE <br />BUILDING CODE: AND AMENDING SECTION 1000.00 <br />OF THE ELK RIVER CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River ordains as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 1000.00 of the City of Elk River <br />Code of Ordinances Titled "Adoption of State Building Code" be <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />A. Those portions of the Minnesota State Building Code, as <br />amended, 1985 Edition, with Appendixes as set forth below are <br />hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of Elk River as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Minnesota Rules, Part 1300 - Code Administration <br /> 2. Minnesota Rules, Part 1305 - 1985 Uniform Building <br /> Code and Uniform Building Code Appendix Chapter 35 <br /> 3. Minnesota Rules, Part 1315 - National Electrical Code <br /> (1984) <br /> 4. Minnesota Rules, Part 1320 - Elevators & Related <br />. Machines <br />5. Minnesota Rules, Part 1325 - Solar Energy Systems <br /> 6. Minnesota Rules, Part 1330 - Fall Out Shelters <br /> 7. Minnesota Rules, Part 1335 - Flood Proofing <br /> 8. Minnesota Rules, Part 1340 - Facilities for the <br /> Handicapped <br /> 9. Minnesota Rules, Part 1345 - Minnesota Heating, <br /> Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Code <br /> 10. Minnesota Rules, Part 1350 - Manufactured Homes <br /> 11. Minnesota Rules, Part 1355 - Plumbing <br /> 12. Minnesota Rules, Part 1360 - Prefabricated Structures <br /> 13. Minnesota Rules, Part 1365 - Appendix on Snow Loads <br /> 14. Minnesota Rules, Part 4215 - Model Energy Code and <br /> Amendments <br /> <br />and are incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set <br />forth, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of <br />the City Administrator. <br /> <br />B. Organization and Enforcement. The organization of the <br />Building Department and Enforcement of the Building Code shall <br />be as established by Chapter 2 of the Uniform Building Code, <br />1985 Edition. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Building Code shall be enforced within the incorporated <br />limits of the City and extraterritorial limits two miles <br />
