Utility Commission Minutes <br /> March 26, 1996 <br /> Page 2 <br /> compensation, noting the number of special meetings <br /> and extra work that has been done. Mr. Zabee felt the <br /> Commission should remain as policy-makers and to <br /> consider their duties as public service. <br /> 6 . Wire bids were reported on by Mr. Sundeen, with his <br /> comments and recommendations. Mr. Zabee moved to award <br /> the following. <br /> Border States 30, 000' of i/0 $ 30, 570 . 00 <br /> Petersen-Wisdorf 20, 000' of 4/0 25, 040 . 00 <br /> Petersen-Wisdorf 50, 000' of 500 MCM 141, 550 . 00 <br /> Mr. Dietz seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0 . <br /> 7 . Ms Hemza presented the possibility of adding a Utility <br /> drop box to the block of drop boxes being installed <br /> at the new Cub Foods Store . Mr. Zabee moved to have <br /> the drop box installed, provided the City agrees. Mr. <br /> Dietz seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0 . <br /> 8 . Mr. McCartney led a discussion regarding abandonment of <br /> Well #1 on Jackson Avenue. He explained procedures and <br /> advised that he is seeking specifications for abandonment . <br /> 9 . Mr. Sundeen presented some preliminary information on <br /> wage studies for the outside crew. <br /> 10 . Mr. Zabee moved to adjourn. Mr. Dietz seconded the motion. <br /> Motion carried 3-0. <br /> 11 .
