UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Chris Sumstad– Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />September 14, 2021 6.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Installed 11 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br /> For the Highway 169 Redefine project, the bore crew crossed the highway for the third <br />time with 500 MCM underground feeder wire north of Main Street. Line crews are also <br />working in thatarea setting poles and terminating wire.A line crew is currently working <br />at Elk Hills Drive and Dodge Street, relocating a switchgear box/feeder line along with <br />some smaller 200-amp equipment. Preparations are mostly finished on both sides of <br /> <br />197Avenue. The removal of poles and wire will happen late fall/winter. <br />th <br /> The wire was installed and terminated for Prestigious Woodland Hills 5 edition. <br /> A new three phase service was installed at the Elk River Extreme Motor Park. <br /> Thermal imaging revealed two hotspots on two different feeders at the Station 14 <br />substation. Equipment was repaired or replaced on each. Staff will continue to monitor <br />this issue. <br /> Crews replaced a transformer that was struck by a vehicle at the County Road 39 and <br />Page Avenueroundabout. <br />st <br /> Replaced a fuse pad cabinet that was impacted by a contractor at 191Avenue and <br />Edison Street near the new fire station. <br />Removed fourstreetlightsfor the County Road 13 rebuild. These lights will be replaced <br />by new lighting for the roundabouts at Line Avenue and Tyler Street. <br />Working on details forthree to four new three phase services that are slated to be <br />installed yet this fallfor commercial customersin various parts of the service area. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />98 <br />
