A facility used primarily for the storage, management, processing, and <br />transmission of digital data, which houses computer and/or network equipment, systems, <br />servers, appliances and other associated components related to digital data operations. <br />Such facility may also include air handlers, power generators, water cooling and storage <br />facilities, utility substations, and other associated utility infrastructure to support sustained <br />operations at a data center. Datacenters use significant energy to support primary <br />functions. Data centers do not function like traditional offices: They require round-the- <br />clock staff and access to maintain critical systems and un -interrupted operation; due to the <br />critical nature of the data they create, store, and manage, data centers have heightened <br />security requirements and require perimeter fencing. Data centers do not generate <br />significant vehicle trips. <br />ii) Accessory activities.
