<br />Ordinance 83-3 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />a) To work on achieving and maintaining Star City recognition for the City <br />of Elk River. <br /> <br />b) To promote Elk River by rpojecting an image of a community with a high <br />quality of life that provides for an excellent environment for raising a <br />family and where community pride encourages industrial and commercial estab- <br />lishments. <br /> <br />c) To bring about balanced economic development by the locations of industrial <br />and commercial concerns in the City of Elk River. <br /> <br />d) To promote and give priority to the development of that industrial and <br />commercial land already served with utilities and bearing substantial <br />assessments. <br /> <br />e) To attract a broad spectrum of job opportunities. <br /> <br />f) To strengthen the City's existing industrial and commercial enterprises. <br /> <br />g) To consider general policy direction and to advise the City Council on <br />matters pertaining to industry and commerce. <br /> <br />Section 215.14 - This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />the date of its publication. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 7th day of March, 1983. <br /> <br />........7 ../1 . <br /> <br />(/:2.-_/' pi j ~ <br />,,~~..
