<br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 89-19 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />SECTION 802.04(2) <br />SURETY BOND REQUIREMENT ELIMINATED <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordain as <br />follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section 1. The Code of Ordinances for the City of Elk <br />River, Section 802.04(2) is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />802.04 - Application for License. <br /> <br />1. Form. Every application for a license to sell liquor <br />shall state the name of the applicant, age of the applicant, <br />representations as to character with references as the Council <br />may require, citizenship, type of license applied for, the <br />business in connection with which the proposed license will <br />operate and its location, whether the applicant is owner and <br />operator of the business, how long the applicant has been in <br />that business at that place, and such other information as the <br />Council may require from time to time. In addition to <br />containing such information, the application shall be in the <br />form prescribed by the Commissioner of Public Safety and shall <br />be verified and filed with the City Administrator. No person <br />shall make a false statement in an application. <br /> <br />2. Liabilitv Insurance. <br />liquor license, the applicant <br />Administrator as follows: <br /> <br />Prior to the issuance of a <br />shall file with the City <br /> <br />(a) A certificate that there is in effect an insurance <br />policy or pool providing the following minimum coverages; <br /> <br />(1) $50,000 because of bodily injury to anyone person in <br />anyone occurrence, and, subject to the limit for one <br />person, in the amount of $100,000 because of bodily injury <br />to two or more persons in anyone occurrence, and in the <br />amount of $10,000 because of injury to or destruction of <br />property of others in anyone occurrence. <br /> <br />(2) $50,000 for loss of means of support of anyone <br />person in anyone occurrence, and, subject to the limit <br />for one person, $100,000 for loss of means of support of <br />two or more persons in anyone occurrence; or, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(b) A bond of a surety company with minimum coverages as <br />provided in clause (a), or <br /> <br />(c) A certificate of <br />licensee has deposited <br /> <br />the state treasurer that the <br />with him $100,000 in cash or <br />
