Provide tools for developers, Increase public education on environmental topicshomeowners and concerned citizens for wetland and shoreland topics. Continue to participate in local initiatives with Sherburne SWCD to improve water quality regionally and AIS plan for 2022 Continue to perform LGU responsibilities for administering WCA regulations. Work to education applicants about the importance of wetlands and reduce wetland impacts in Administer Wetland Conservation Act and reduce impacts the city. Consider flexible designs standards in regards to wetland buffer to wetlands whenever possible requirements to meet this goal. Encourage signage for protection of wetland and buffer areas. Long-term goal to create wetland bank site for city projects requiring wetland mitigation. Utilize existing funding as needed. Work with EDA to identify location and Identify and create wetland bank site work to gain ownership to establish bank site. Continue to use existing credits for city projects. Begin using volunteers again to clean wetlands/ponds to increase water quality and Protect wetlands (and stormwater ponds) via adopt a park function. Add more ponds as available. Education public about wetland function and program and public education importance of keeping buffer areas functioning.
