The organized use
park regulations are for park events exclusively to be approved by Parks and
Recreation.
Commissioner Anderson asked if clean up after the events is covered in the policy.
He stated that the increased use at Woodland Trails Regional Park is generating a
surprising amount of litter.
Mr. Hecker stated that will be added to the policy. He shared that larger events, such
as Thumbs Up 5k,will need to rent a dumpster.
Commissioner Anderson asked how we deal with fundraisers that are used for
existing clubs or programs, such as the Nordic Ski Team or Minnesota Biathlon,
which run small fundraising events for the support of their activities.
PeIENEl 11
NATURE
