Public Hearings <br /> There were no public hearing items. <br /> 7.1 Public Art Initiative Update <br /> Ms. Eddy provided an update on the public art initiative. <br /> Commissioner Blesener questioned if staff was confident in finding a solution. Ms. <br /> Eddy explained Granite Shores donated use of a structural engineer to work on <br /> finding a solution and she is confident one will be found. <br /> 7.2 Together Elk River Campaign Update <br /> Ms. Eddy indicated staff sent a survey to Elk River businesses to better understand <br /> their needs during the Highway 10 and Jackson construction projects. She stated a <br /> couple businesses would like clarity on access points, parking, and tools to navigate <br /> drivers through the construction rocess.,_ <br /> She stated brand ambassadors met last week to discuss other items that may have <br /> more of an impact on businesses during construction. Some of the items being <br /> planned are a Spirit Week and a job fair. <br /> Commissioner Wagner added a large issue that came out of the meeting is employers <br /> are unable to find employees, so the group is working on a job fair event to help <br /> showcase local businesses. <br /> 4.5Resolution Accepting Donations for the Slipstream Public Art <br /> Initiative. <br /> Ms. giddy presented the staff report. <br /> Commissioner Wagner indicated she removed this item from the consent agenda as <br /> she felt it was important to publicly recognize community partnerships. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br /> Christianson to adopt resolution 21-03 acknowledging contributions from the <br /> Bank of Elk River, First Bank of Elk River, the State Farm Agency, and the <br /> Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce. <br /> Motion carried 7-0. <br /> NATUREI <br />
