<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 92 - 25 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 900.22 - SIGN <br />REGULATIONS (SUB)(4)(b)(vii) <br />"SIGNS PERMITTED IN AGRICULTURAL A-1 AND RESIDENTIAL <br />R-1, R-2, R-3 AND R-4 ZONES" <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordain as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section <br />of Elk River Code <br />Agricultural A-1 <br />be amended to read <br /> <br />1. That Section 900.22(4)(b)(vii) of the City <br />of Ordinances titled "Signs Permitted in <br />and Residential R-1, R-2, R-3 and R-4 Zones" <br />as follows: <br /> <br />900.22 - SIGN REGULATIONS <br /> <br />4. Regulation of Signs by Zone <br /> <br />a. Signs Permitted in Agricultural A-1 and Residential R-1, <br />R-2, R-3 and R-4 zones - <br /> <br />vii. Rural-based businesses shall be allowed four <br />(4) off premise directional signs subject to the <br />following restrictions: <br /> <br />Individual directional signs shall not exceed <br />eighteen (18) square feet. <br /> <br />Said signs shall be set back ten (10) feet from <br />any public right-of-way as measured to any portion of <br />the sign. <br /> <br />Said signs shall be located on private property <br />which is adjacent to an arterial road provided that <br />the property owner's permission is obtained. <br /> <br />Said signs shall only contain the name of the <br />rural-based business, the direction to and the <br />distance to the facility. Signing for straight ahead <br />movements shall not be allowed. <br /> <br />At anyone intersection any number of off premise <br />directional signs may be erected provided that they <br />can be accommodated on two sets of posts in no more <br />than two locations. The Building and Zoning <br />Administrator shall determine whether the posts can <br />accommodate any more signs. <br /> <br />Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in full force from and after the date of its publication. <br />
