Open burning is only permitted <br />between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., except that when <br />there is three (3) or more inches of snow cover, open burning <br />otherwise permitted by this ordinance can take place 24 hour per <br />day. <br /> <br />4. Open Burning P~+mit ~9t Re~ir~d With Three ~nches of Snow <br />CQver. If there is three (3) or more inches of snow cover on the <br />ground, a burning permit is not required in areas of the City <br />where open burning is permitted. <br /> <br />5. O~en Burping Pe~its ar~ ~vailable in two forms: <br /> <br />A. A three day burning permit may be acquired at no <br />charge. <br /> <br />B. A fifteen day burning permit may be acquired at City <br />Hall only, for a fee of $5.00. <br /> <br />~lO,04 - PERMITTED ~ P~Oij~BITED OPEN BURNING. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />From and after the effective date of this ordinance, except as <br />herein otherwise proyided, open burning shall be prohibited in <br />defined areas in the iCity of Elk River, as set forth by the City <br />Council. (A map defiriing permitted and prohibited open burning <br />areas is available ao Elk River City Hall) . <br /> <br />4~0.06 - PRO~IBI~ED ~TERIALS <br /> <br />1. It is illegal to burn at any time: <br /> <br />A. Oils, rubber, plastics, chemically treated materials, <br />I <br />or other materitls that produce excessive or noxious smoke; <br />I <br />I <br />B. Hazardous raste <br /> <br />C. Burnable b6ilding materials from demolition of a <br />I <br />commercial or imstitutional structure (farm buildings are <br />I <br />not commercial) I <br />i <br /> <br />D. Industrial solid waste generated from an industrial or <br />manufacturing process, or from a service or commercial <br />structure. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />E. Motor vehicles or conduct salvage operations by open <br />burning; <br /> <br />4.10 <br />
