The School District has confirmed the new shotting site located between Salk Middle School and
the old high school football stadium. This new location allows for a maximum shell size of 6 inches. Past displays
have been a maximum of 5-inch shells.
The 2020 fireworks display was 19 minutes with 5-inch shells for $16,500. We can do a similar display this year.
The display will only be two minutes less if we want to add 6-inch shells. We will notice a difference with 6-inch
shells that will shoot over 200-feet higher. If we want to keep to a 19-minute show with 6-inch shells, the cost will
be $700 more.
Financial Impact
The budget for the 2021 fireworks display is $16,500.
Mission/Policy/Goal
The Elk River mission and vision
Attachments
• Maximum Shell Size 6 inch Fallout Zone Radius
The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional
service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires pi ospei ly.
M
TUREJ
Updated.• August 2020
