UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Michelle Canterbury– Executive Administrative Manager <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />March9, 2021 5.2 <br />SUBJECT: <br />2020 Annual Report <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Receive the 2020 Annual Report <br />BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: <br />Staff is pleased to present the 2020 Annual Report, which focuses largely onERMU’s response <br />to COVID-19, carrying the theme of “Facing Challenges, Finding Solutions.” The report includes <br />just some of the major initiatives and innovations of the previous year which allowed us to <br />meet the mission of providing our customers safe, reliable, cost-effective, and quality long-term <br />electric and water utility services. While it has always been clear that the services ERMU <br />provides are essential, the circumstance of the pandemic deepened their importance as <br />customers came to further rely on stable electricity for school and work as well as clean water <br />for proper hygiene. The report explains how our staff, facing their ownchallenges in 2020, <br />helped ensure ERMU’s operational andfinancial success. As the report concludes, “Many things <br />changed at ERMU in 2020, but new practices and adapted processes helped ensure that the <br />most important things did not change.” <br /> <br />The 2020 annual report will be printed and distributed to all ERMU customers with their March <br />billing statement.
