G.4d1 Customer Data Privacy <br />1.0Customer Privacy Policy <br />A. Elk River Municipal Utilities recognizes our responsibility to keep information about <br />our customers secure and confidential. We are committed to using our best efforts to <br />formation and have taken the following steps to <br />2.0Information We Collect <br />A. Elk River Municipal is the sole owner of the information collected from our <br />customers. We collect personally identifiable information, such as name, address, <br />account number, phone number, financial information, social security number, email <br />addresses, etc. that is required for business purposes. This information will be <br />maintained as confidential business information for which access is strictly limited. <br />We do not sell or rent any information to others. We do not disclose any non-public <br />personal information about our customers to any, except as permitted by law. <br />3.0 Security <br />A. We restrict access to non-public personal information about our customers to those <br />employees who need to now specific information to provide products or services to <br />our customers. Our employees are trained to respect customer privacy and to access <br />customer information only when they have a business reason to know information. <br />We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal <br />-public personal information. <br />4.0 Notification <br />A. This policy will be provided to customers as requested.
