<br />ORDINANCE 05 - <br />CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 74-97 AND 74-99 <br />OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> <br />Case No. OA 05 - 10 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 74-97 titled Nighttime parking in Business District of the <br />City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be amended read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 74-97. Nighttime parking. <br /> <br />(a) No vehicle shall be parked between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Lowell and Jackson <br />A venues between Highway 10 and Main Street, on Main Street between Lowell Avenue and <br />Highway 10, on J ackson Avenue between Highway 10 and 5th Street, and on Railroad Drive. <br />In addition, no vehicle shall be parked between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. in the municipal <br />parking lots along the Burlington Northern Railroad. <br />(b) No vehicle shall be parked between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. in the King Avenue <br />parking lot unless it is displaying a resident parking permit as issued by the Police Chief or <br />his designee. <br />(c) Violations of this section are punishable as provided in section 74-91. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 74-99 titled Reserved Parking in Municipal Parking Lots of <br />the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be amended read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 74-99. Parking in municipal parking lots. <br /> <br />(a) The municipal parking lots along the Burlington Northern Railroad are designated <br />for either commuter or public parking. <br />(b) The posted employee parking area within the King Avenue parking lot requires <br />employee vehicles to display parking permits as issued by the Police Chief or his designee. <br />(c) Violations of this section are punishable as provided in section 74-91. <br /> <br />Section 3.
