City Council Minutes <br />February 1, 2021 <br />Page 4 <br />Adrianna Birdsall, 14265 Balsam Blvd, Becker, stated she is Trevor's niece and <br />explained how Trevor and Jennifer taught her how to golf and taught her it's not <br />about winning, it's about having fun. <br />Blake Birdsall, 14265 Balsam Blvd, Becker, indicated he is Trevor's brother and <br />grew up near Pinewood. He explained Jennifer and Trevor love the game of golf and <br />are not interested in changing Pinewood. <br />Paul Pavkovich, 14240 183`d Ave NW, questioned what sort of contingency plan is <br />in place when a private party purchases and fails and asked the city to consider a <br />contingency. <br />Mayor Dietz at this point the potential buyers have agreed to keep Pinewood as a <br />golf course for ten years and after that they can do what they want with it. <br />Chris Rock, 18665 Lander St NW, indicated he just heard about this issue late last <br />week and he may be interested in pursuing purchase of the golf course. He asked the <br />Council to postpone a decision and collect proposals. <br />Mayor Dietz read an email from Jody Meneley, 13429 179`' Ave NW. The email <br />stated Mr. Meneley believes Trevor and Jennifer would be outstanding owners and <br />operators and she believes it is the perfect partnership to keep pinewood a viable <br />part of our community. The email added Trevor and Jennifer have a special <br />connection to people who golf there and live on course and she would like the city <br />to accept the offer from Jennifer and Trevor. <br />Shelly Binsfeld, 13230 Islandview Dr NW, stated the city put millions of dollars in a <br />new indoor facility and believes the city should be good stewards and make sure the <br />golf course remains a community space. She indicated her biggest concern is the <br />course ends up a development. She hopes the city opens additional discussion on <br />Pinewood being careful to look at who has invested in the community and whether <br />they have the means to continue to invest. <br />James Wrubel, 18285 Yankton St NW, hopes the city scrutinizes potential buyers <br />ensuring the buyers assume all risk. <br />Fay Huselid, 14099 182" d Ave NW, indicated she lives on Pinewood but is here <br />representing the seniors who do not feel safe coming to an open hearing during <br />COVID. She stated she has a petition from seniors requesting Pinewood remain a <br />golf course. She understands the city's position in not wanting to run the golf course. <br />She doesn't want the city to sell the course but if they do, she would like the city to <br />vet the potential owner to make sure they can handle issues as they arise. <br />Josie Abrahamson, 14505 145`'' Ct NW, indicated Jennifer is her mom.
