<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 89-38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION <br />TO STUDY CERTAIN ROADS IN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING SPEED ZONES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Elk River City Council has determined that <br />there are streets in the City of Elk River upon <br />which the designated speed zone is of concern to <br />the Council; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Minnesota Statute requires that the City Council <br />request the Commissioner of Transportation to <br />investigate appropriate speed zones in the areas of <br />question with the City of Elk River; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City's request to the Commissioner of <br />Transportation for the investigation and eventual <br />establishment of speed zones must be made by <br />resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Elk River that the Commissioner of <br />Transportation is hereby requested by the Council <br />to investigate the following streets within the <br />City of Elk River for the purpose of establishing <br />the appropriate speed zones: <br /> <br />Fillmore Street; <br />175th Avenue NW; <br />173rd Avenue NW; <br />Tyler Street. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River <br />this 5th day of June, 1989. <br /> <br />j ,~? <br />'- WV1vt.U // -;2:;:,-t<~ <br /> <br />James A.
