<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.7 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent December 21, 2020 Justin Femrite, P.E., Public Works Director <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Trunk Highway 10 and Lake Orono Trail Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Cooperative Agreement <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, a resolution entering into a cooperative agreement with MnDOT for local cost participation of <br />the Trunk Highway 10 reconstruction and addition of the detached trail connecting Orono Park to downtown <br />and authorizing execution by the mayor and city clerk. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The attached Cooperative Agreement is the form used by MnDOT to memorialize all obligations around the <br />Trunk Highway 10 reconstruction project, which includes modifications to our existing signal systems and the <br />addition of the Lake Orono Trail along the south side of the roadway. <br /> <br />Staff has reviewed the agreement and recommends its approval. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />The city cost shares detailed in the agreement will come from Park Dedication Fund (trail and lighting cost share) <br />and from our State Aid Construction Account (signal system and ADA cost share). <br /> <br />Mission/Policy/Goal <br />To meet State and Federal standards with our public buildings. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> Cooperative Agreement #1044570 <br /> Resolution <br /> <br /> <br />The Elk River Vision <br />A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional <br /> <br />service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity. <br /> Updated: August 2020 <br />
