The Planning Commission discussed the CUP later in the meeting. The Commission discussed areas that will be
served by the future well and pump -house, the use of firetruck lights and sirens, and parking for first responders.
The well is not proposed for construction with this project, but the area east of Cleveland is expected to be served
by city utilities in the future. The well would add capacity to the existing system when the need arises. Staff noted
that the fire department is aware of surrounding uses and will use the sirens/lights when appropriate. It was also
noted that the city's two other fire stations are in residential areas with little to no concerns received regarding
noise.
The Commission unanimously recommended approval of the CUP and the city has not received any additional
comments from the public.
Financial Impact
None
Mission/Policy/Goal
The project supports the changing needs and growth of the city.
Attachments
■ Planning Commission Packet dated November 24, 2020
