<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 30, 1966 <br /> <br /> <br />A public hearing was held at the Village Hall on June 30, 1966 regarding certain improvements as <br />advertised (see notice in minutes of June 6, 1966). <br /> <br />Dave Plepsen appeared regarding the sewer extension on Proctor Ave. <br /> <br />Kenneth Parker was present in regard to the paving of School Street. The drainage on School Street <br />will be a problem. <br /> <br />Howard Wakefield was present representing the Vaca estate. Village Attorney should be consulted. <br /> <br />Others present were Donal Mc Rea, County engineer, Archie Larson, John Ward, County <br />Commissioner and Jack Bernard. Neil Larson and Dr. Travis were present in connection with the <br />paving of Angel Street. <br /> <br />Engineer Mills and Atty. Mac Gibbon were present and answered questions regarding Legal <br />questions and estimated costs. <br /> <br />The following resolution was made by Syring and seconded by Hudson. Resolved that the engineer <br />be directed to prepare a preliminary report on the re-surfacing of Lookout Place, and Lowell Ave. <br />th <br />from Main Street to Angel Street and that a hearing be held on the 18 day of July, 1966 at 7:30 P.M. <br />and that the Clerk be directed to give notice of this hearing according to law. Carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Syring and seconded by Bartelt to pave School Street 9 ton load 32 feet wide <br />providing school will assume cost over a 5 ton load. Property owners to be assessed for 5 ton load <br />and school to pay difference between a 5 ton load and a 9 ton load. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Syring to proceed with sewer extension on Proctor Ave. Pave Angel Street and Lowell <br />Avenue from Main Street to Highway No. 10. Second by Bartelt.
