<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 20, 1966 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the Village Hall on <br />June 20, 1966. All members were present except Hudson. The meeting was called to order by Mayor <br />Coles. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />Neil Larson attended the meeting. He has in mind building and leasing a building on the Northeast <br />corner of Highway 169 and Main Street. The Council is interested and will wait for further details. <br />See letter from Neil Larson. <br /> <br />Manager Reynolds was present. He has plans for some re-arrangement of help and adjustment of <br />hours and duties at the Liquor Store. He will give further details later. <br /> <br />Ronald Stewart’s application for Police Officer was considered. The Council agreed to hire him at <br />$375.00 per month for a 48 hour week with $1.75 per hour for over 48 hours a week, one week <br />vacation after one year, after two years two weeks vacation, twelve days sick leave, $50.00 clothing <br />allowance per year <br /> <br />A motion to hire Stewart at the rate was made by Briggs provided Trustee Hudson, who was absent <br />at the time agreed. Motion was seconded by Bartelt and passed. All voting in favor. <br /> <br />The Clerk was asked to look up ordinances establishing the Municipal Liquor Store (Nos. 39 and 39 <br />a.
