Sharpen the message about Elk River's strengths, <br />and make that prominent and repetitive in marketing <br />and communications materials. <br />3a. Develop business park site maps for future and <br />existing industrial parks to include in materials for site <br />selectors, interested businesses and developers. <br />3b. As new industrial land comes online, engage in <br />master planning and related activities that increase <br />the readiness of the land for development. <br />3c. Make a creative push for engaging with Cargill <br />about their plans for their Elk River property. <br />3d. As the visions for early phases of the Gravel <br />Mining area are updated, consider guiding some of <br />that land for industrial park development. <br />4a. Update the target industries to reinforces Elk <br />River's strategic advantages. Recommended: a) <br />Precision or high-skill manufacturing, b) Companies <br />with statewide or regional customer bases, c) Data <br />centers. <br />4b. Continue promoting the City for target industry <br />attraction with site selectors, through attendance at <br />trade shows, etc. <br />4c. Explore the opportunity for attracting additional <br />health care development in Elk River. <br />5a. Continue the business visitation program, <br />emphasizing strategically important businesses and <br />newly established businesses. <br />5b.
