The CIP identifies HVAC and energy
efficiency upgrades in many city facilities. These improvements and upgrades are
primarily maintenance in nature should have a positive impact on the operating budget
with significant energy savings.
Street improvement projects will result in substantial savings in maintenance costs. The
park improvement projects represent identified maintenance or replacement of existing
asses and should have little impact on the operating budget.
The expansion of the Public Safety Building and the construction of Fire Station 3 will
involve higher operating costs for utilities and insurance.
