With the demolition of the power plant, GRE must find a - <br /> replacement power source by June 2022 to maintain existing contracts <br /> for their transmission system. The proposed turbine will have a --- <br /> similar generating capacity but would occur on a much smaller " CR 33. - <br /> footprint. <br /> GRE has an existing 200 MW combustion turbine on-site and the _ <br /> proposed turbine would be located next to the existing one or within RR' O <br /> a building already constructed on site. The current generator operates <br /> between 150 and 500 hours per year,and GRE anticipates the new <br /> generator would operate no more than 900 hours per year. CR 12 <br /> The applicant would like feedback from the Planning Commission <br /> regarding a potential Conditional Use Permit to construct the <br /> combustion turbine at their existing site.
