Rain Becomes(first of three narratives pieces) <br /> Rain Becomes is the moment a deluge becomes a rapid.This is one of three narrative sculptures created by commission for <br /> the city of Grand Rapids,the Grand Rapids Arts Council and the Blandin Foundation The sculptures are sited at three <br /> intersections in the town and are a narrative series telling the story of a time when the"rapids"returned to the city.The <br /> work culminates with Ultramarinus,a 41 ft.rapid overtaking the land.The City of Grand Rapids has now decided to <br /> build their public art policy around the work.They are asking artists to contribute pieces that would work in partnership <br /> with The Memory of Wlater.Patinated bronze,steel. 2019. <br /> 6 <br />
