It is further resolved, by said Village Council that it is necessary and expedient that the full faith and <br />credit of said Village be pledged for the payment of interest and principal of said warrant, and it is <br />hereby do pledged. <br /> <br />H.A. Briggs S.B.Davidson <br /> Clerk Mayor <br /> <br />Interest – Net over 5% <br />Warrant state on its face the purpose for which drawn. <br />Must be in denominations of not less than $50.00 nor more than $1,000. <br />Cannot be sold for less than year. <br />The Council made the following tax levy for 1947: <br />General Fund $6,000 <br />Road and Bridge Fund $2,800 <br />Library Fund $750 <br />Poor Fund $600 <br />Bond 2 Mills <br /> <br />Charles Nelson asked that the Village allow him pay for 20 days vacation which he had not taken <br />during the post two years and be allowed ten days vacation this year. The request was granted. <br /> <br />Resolution <br /> <br />Sewage Disposal <br />The Village Council of the Village of Elk River, County of Sherburne, State of Minnesota, being in <br />regular session all members being present, Councilman Skellenger offered the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />That whereas, the Village Council of the Village of Elk River has found it necessary and expedient <br />for the presentation of the public health, good order and the government of the Village of Elk River <br />that a survey be made of the general sewer system now existing in the Village of Elk River, and <br /> <br />Whereas, Pursuant to said resolution, duly adopted by said Village Council of the Village of Elk <br />River, the firm of Faltz, King and Day Inc. Engineers, have prepared plans and specifications of said <br />existing sewer system of the Village of Elk River, County of Sherburne, taking into consideration at <br />said time the future prospect of construction a sewage disposal plant and, <br /> <br />Whereas, said specifications are in accord as far as possible with the sewage disposal commission of <br />the State of Minnesota, and <br /> <br />Whereas, Petitions have been duly filed with Village Clerk and presented to the Council, signed by <br />more than twenty-five per cent of the property owners abutting on streets who are in dire need of <br />sanitary sewers, which are to be constructed as soon as possible. <br /> <br />It is hereby resolved, by the Village Council of the Village of Elk River that it is necessary and <br />expedient for the preservation of public health, good order and the government of the Village of Elk <br />River that a sewage disposal plant be constructed at such time as materials are available, and that a <br />financial arrangement be made to finance said proposed sewage disposal plant. <br /> <br />
