<br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 3, 1945 <br /> <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the municipal building on December 5, <br />1945 with all members present. <br /> <br />Ward Halsbo was present at the meeting and gave report a bout the progress of the electric power <br />and light business. <br /> <br />Mac Harnlett met with the Council in regard to closing of the alley in the rear of the hotel. However <br />it appears that the highway does not intend to close the alley. <br /> <br />The Clerk was instructed to bill the Greyhound Bus Company for two recent fires at $25.00 each. <br /> <br />It was decided to install a street light in the Patenaude district. <br /> <br />It was agreed to try to make a lease on the building occupied by the Elk River Public Utilities for <br />two years with a two year option. <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed and ordered paid: <br />Miller-Davis Co. – Blanks $1.34 <br />Rupert Zimmer – Street Work $30.00 <br />H.A.
