outside of the dispensary. No liquor shall be sold or consumed on a public highway or in an <br />automobile.” <br /> <br />Section 2.: Section of the ordinance referred to in Section 1 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />“The municipal dispensary shall at all times observe the following restrictions upon the hours of <br />operation: no sale of intoxicating liquor shall be made on Sunday nor before three o’clock p.m. on <br />any memorial day nor before right o’clock p.m. on any election day in the Village. No “on sale” shall <br />be made before eight o’clock a.m. or after twelve o’clock midnight of any day. No “off sale” shall be <br />made before eight o’clock a.m. or after eight o’clock p.m. of any day except Saturday, on which “off <br />sale” may be made until ten o’clock p.m; provided, that no “off sale” may be made on New Year’s <br />Day, January 1; Memorial Day, May 30; Independence Day, July 4; Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas <br />Day, December 25; but on the evening preceding such day, if the sale of liquor is not otherwise <br />prohibited on such evenings, “off sale” may be made until then o’clock p.m. except that no “off <br />sale” shall be made on December 24 after eight o’clock p.m.” <br /> <br />Section 3. Section 5 of the ordinance referred to in Section 1 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />“(a) No food or billiard table shall be kept in the dispensary or any rooms connecting therewith; nor <br />shall any one on such premises keep, possess or operated on such premises or in any rooms <br />adjoining or connected therewith any slot machine, dice or any other gambling device or permit the <br />same to be kept or used. No gambling shall be permitted on such premises, nor shall any person of a <br />know immoral character or any disorderly person be permitted on such premises.” <br /> <br />“(b) No other business than the sale of liquors shall be carried on by the dispensary or by any person <br />employed therein during the time so employed and in conjunction therewith, except that cigars, <br />cigarettes, snuff, tobacco and soft drinks may be sold both “on sale” and “off sale” during the hours <br />the dispensary is open for the sale of intoxicating liquor.” <br /> <br />“(c) No liquor shall be sold either for consumption upon the premises or for removal therefrom to a <br />person who is an intoxicated condition.” <br /> <br />“(d) No liquor shall be sold to a minor.” <br /> <br />“(e) No person shall be permitted to loaf or loiter about the dispensary habitually.” <br /> <br />“(f) No premises shall be leased for a dispensary upon which taxes, assessments or other legal public <br />levies are delinquent and unpaid.” <br /> <br />Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from the date of its publication.
