In their assessment, they identified some necessary upgrades to
meet the new limits for turnover of indoor air in occupied spaces at City Hall and the field house at the
multipurpose facility. They also recommend technology solutions to consider for all facilities to disinfect air prior
to flow into occupied spaces.

Upon consensus on potential improvements, contracts will be prepared and presented for approval on October
19, 2020.

Financial Impact
It is understood because some of these upgrades are necessary to meet CDC guidelines for preventing the spread
of COVID 19 and because they are not budgeted, the costs are eligible and recommended to be paid for with
CAREs Act funding. The project cost estimate for CAREs Act eligible components is $1,066,560.

Mission/Policy/Goal
Energy efficiency and meeting air handling standards in our public buildings.

Attachments
None

The Elk River Vision
A welcoming community with revolutionary and spirited resourcefulness, exceptional

service, and community engagement that encourages and inspires prosperity.
Updated: August 2020
