1. This Council deems it necessary and expedient that the Village should construct and equip a <br />new municipal building, and should provide funds necessary for said purpose by issuing its <br />negotiable coupon general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding $120,000. <br />2. The proposition of issuing bonds, as set forth in the form of ballot prescribed below, shall <br />be submitted to the voters at a special election which is hereby called and directed to be held <br />th <br />in and for the Village on the 30 day of July, 1957, between the hours of 4:00 o’clock P.M. <br />and 8:00 o’clock P.M. Said election shall be held at Municipal Building in said Village, and <br />the following three persons are hereby appointed and shall act as judges of election: H.J. <br />Pfeiffer, Ruth Flaherty, and Mabel Greupner. They shall appoint two qualified voters of the <br />Village to act as clerks of election. <br />3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to post notice of said special election at <br />said polling place and at least three other public and conspicuous places in the Village, at <br />least 10 days before the date of said election, and to publish notice of said election in the Elk <br />River Star News at least 7 days before said date, which notice shall be in substantially the <br />following form: <br /> <br />6. This Council shall meet within two days following the date of said election, to-wit: On July 31, <br />1957, at 7:30 o’clock P.M. at Municipal Building in said Village for the purpose of canvassing the <br />results of said election and declaring the result thereof, and for the purpose of transacting such other <br />business as may properly come before the meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor <br />Attest: H.A. Briggs <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Sandberg, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Meyer, Sandberg, Dow, Briggs <br />And the following voted against the same: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passes and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor, <br />which was attested by the Village Clerk. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF SHERBURNE <br /> <br />I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Elk River, hereby attest <br />and certify that <br /> <br />(1) As such officer, I have the legal custody of the original record from which the attached and <br />foregoing extract was transcribed; <br />(2) I have carefully compared and extract with said original record; <br />(3) I find said extract to be a true, correct and complete transcript from the original minutes of a <br />meeting of the Village Council of said Village held on the date indicated in said extract, <br />including any resolutions adopted at such meeting, insofar as they relate to $120,000 <br />Municipal Building Bonds of the Village; and <br />(4) Said meeting was duly held, pursuant to call and notice thereof as required by law. <br />st <br />WITNESS my hand and the seal of said Village this 1 day of July 1957. <br />H.A.
