1. This Council deems it necessary and expedient that the Village should construct and equip a new municipal building, and should provide funds necessary for said purpose by issuing its negotiable coupon general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding $120,000. 2. The proposition of issuing bonds, as set forth in the form of ballot prescribed below, shall be submitted to the voters at a special election which is hereby called and directed to be held th in and for the Village on the 30 day of July, 1957, between the hours of 4:00 o’clock P.M. and 8:00 o’clock P.M. Said election shall be held at Municipal Building in said Village, and the following three persons are hereby appointed and shall act as judges of election: H.J. Pfeiffer, Ruth Flaherty, and Mabel Greupner. They shall appoint two qualified voters of the Village to act as clerks of election. 3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to post notice of said special election at said polling place and at least three other public and conspicuous places in the Village, at least 10 days before the date of said election, and to publish notice of said election in the Elk River Star News at least 7 days before said date, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: 6. This Council shall meet within two days following the date of said election, to-wit: On July 31, 1957, at 7:30 o’clock P.M. at Municipal Building in said Village for the purpose of canvassing the results of said election and declaring the result thereof, and for the purpose of transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting. Briggs The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Sandberg, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Meyer, Sandberg, Dow, Briggs And the following voted against the same: None Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passes and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor, which was attested by the Village Clerk.
